Kendro Mission:Kendro, the short and popular name  for Bishwo (World) Shahitto (Literature) Kendro (Center), is a New York based not-for-profit arts organization founded by Bangladeshi Americans. Kendro aims at developing and nurturing the intellectual and cultural potential of individuals in a conducive environment by undertaking various projects like discussion of classic books of the world, appreciation of eastern and western classical music, film and art, seminars, symposiums, debates and performing arts. Kendro incorporates non-Bangla speakers of different ethnic and cultural background and broadens the socio-cultural mosaic of its members through the exchange of art and culture. All Kendro programs are designed to promote harmonious relationship among all communities of the world through its activities regardless of their social or ethnic background.
